Crashlytics - Objective-C/SDK Engineer

Software Engineering | Boston, MA

Did you know that mobile apps crash over 1,000,000,000 times a day? It’s a huge  problem.
We’re the Crashlytics team at Twitter, and we’re helping make mobile apps better for everyone. We provide  real-time error detection and analysis for some of the top iOS and Android apps out  there -- and we show developers the line number of code where it all happened so they  can fix the problem!
Sound cool? Great - because we are looking for an engineer that is a champion of development, and who loves writing code and spreading that emotion to others!
About You:
  • We have a free-form environment – sometimes, you’ll be working on shipping UI features in our Mac application, and sometimes you’ll be working on low-level implementation details in our SDK.
  • You are passionate about programming.  We work with the highest-level frameworks to the lowest-level bits of software... all the way down to Assembly.  If you aren’t afraid to work on low-level stuff, you are in the right place.
  • Strong knowledge of either Objective-C or C.
  • You are just as passionate about Mac OS X as you are about iOS.
  • You are ready to aggressively push your code out to our customers day one, and you are committed to building a flawless customer experience. We are a team with a passion for great user experiences on mobile and the web… so we want someone with the ability work closely with the design team to create a world class experience for our users.
  • Desire to create software that is fast, lightweight, easy and powerful, because we are all about that!
  • Willingness to write your own unit tests and documentation. This is super important to us!
Bonus:
  • Knowledge of debugging tools/infrastructure like symbolication (LLDB and GDB).
  • Experience working with CoreAnimation.
  • Strong knowledge of libdispatch and asynchronous programming.
  • Experience with Apple APIs, and the APIs from some other platforms as well.
About Us:
  • Our team is fast, smart and independent, and our home base is Kendall Square, Cambridge, Massachusetts!
  • We're growing rapidly, so it's important to us to have a great company culture to support that growth.
Here’s a brief look at the things we value
  • We love feedback - you’ll be able to connect directly with customers who are using what you’re building and use their input to make the product better.
  • We’re self-directed.
  • We ship - concept to cash, every week.
  • We give back - We encourage open source contributions and community participation.
  • We’re hyper technical - Deep understanding and optimization are in our soul - what can your code accomplish in 18ms?
