Summary of Job Function

Designs, installs, maintains, and troubleshoots the enterprise network to meet the high availability requirements of the business. Responsible for a network consisting of Cisco routers and switches, F5 load balancers, Extreme switches, and other networking hardware. The network consists of a world wide WAN, corporate LAN, and distributed server environment.

Essential Responsibilities

Overall understanding of the TSYS business along with the associated applications used in the distributed and mainframe environments. In depth understanding of the overall network environments and technologies utilized is required to effectively perform this job. Troubleshooting and problem resolution require strong technical skills as well as effective communication skills. Ability to effectively work on projects with internal and external clients.

Qualifications

Education/Experience

Four year college degree and 6 or more years professional experience or 8 or more years professional experience is required. Appropriate TSYS experience is preferred.

- Bachelors Degree or equivalent work experience
- In depth expertise with Cisco routers and switches
- Experience with network monitoring and troubleshooting tools
- In depth experience with distributed networks
- Knowledge of web content load balancers, SSL certs, and DNS
- Experience with copper and fiber cabling systems
- CCNA or equivalent network skill set
