The Thomson Reuters Corporate Technology “Platform Search Services Team” is responsible for providing enterprise search solutions for various corporate products. We provide mission critical, highly distributed and scalable search and retrieval platform that provides powerful search & retrieval services across many products.As a member of this team, you will have the opportunity to solve complex technical challenges, work with cutting edge cloud, open source and distributed computing technologies. In this role, you will participate in the design, development and maintenance for the underlying infrastructure supporting the Search Services software platform (known internally as Novus). You may also be involved in projects supporting our Big Data and Elastic Search platforms. The ideal candidate will be:

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field or equivalent experience
- 3 + years of experience developing and supporting Java applications
- 3 + years writing technical requirements, design, and testing document
- Strong collaboration skills
- Ability to take ownership of multiple issues and project deliverables while continuing to deliver high quality results that are aligned with project schedule
- Experience with client/server architectureAdditional qualifications (considered a plus if you have any of these)
- IBM MQ or Active MQ.

Our work is typically done using the agile methodology, with an emphasis on quality and repeatability. We work with a number of technologies including iOS, Android, SVG, HTML5 and JavaScript.The team is currently expanding and we're looking for a high-energy, motivated individual with iOS (iPad and iPhone) development experience. Responsibilities
- Participate in product requirement and design reviews
- Manage your development stories in Pivotal Tracker
- Participate in iOS product development
- Work with peers and testers to maintain a high level of software quality
- Collaborate with other Thomson Reuters development teams to leverage existing applications and infrastructure
- Develop time-estimates for work assignments
- Stay current on mobile development technologies and industry trends
- Quickly adapt to new technologies and processes

Qualifications
- A four-year degree in Computer Science or related field or Associates Degree and related experience or equivalent industry experience
- Prefer some experience in a technology development environment, with 1+ years experience building applications for iOS (iPhone and/or iPad).
- Ability to work with business users, subject matter experts, project managers, software engineers and testers to deliver robust solutions
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work independently and self-motivate
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, team oriented environment. Ability to balance and prioritize multiple concurrent projects effectively.
