SunGard Financial Services’ Technical Support Analysts are an integral part of the Hosting Services team.  The main responsibilities will consist of assisting clients with advice and analytical support regarding our software, solving complex technical and configuration problems and reacting to critical issues on a timely basis. A significant portion of time is spent building client relationships, fixing client issues and liaising with R&D to report issues and work on code and configuration solutions. We provide technical product training to otherwise qualified candidates.

As part of the Hosting Technical Support team, the Technical Analyst will be responsible for:

•Providing application support and software configuration to SunGard hosted clients.
•Receiving and analyzing technical issues from clients for the AvantGard product suites.
•Finding and applying solutions to the client issues in the AvantGard product suites.
•Recognizing and escalating critical issues according to policy.
•Preparing customer and internal reports from our management and control systems.
•Providing on-call remote weekend support across both Saturday and Sunday.



•Technically oriented, and literate in Windows server environments. Competency at command-line level is essential.
•Proven application / client support experience, preferably within the financial technology sector.
•Computer literacy: wide exposure to database systems (ideally Oracle or SQL) and modern programming (ideally .NET).
•Deep understanding of Windows hosting solutions and experience in Performance and Tuning associated with (knowledge of tools to run profiling tasks).
•Significant practice of scripting languages like SQL, PL/SQL, python, java script, wml, xssl, shell, perl.
•Knowledge of database technologies (SQL/Oracle).
•Knowledge of Apache, Tomcat, IIS.
•Knowledge of IP-based networks.

Leads and/or participates in the design, development, and implementation of complex system engineering activities involving cross-functional technical support, systems programming and data center capabilities. Responsible for components of highly complex engineering and/or analytical tasks and activities. Establishes input/output processes and working parameters for hardware/software compatibility, coordination of subsystems design, and integration of total system. Viewed as a technology subject matter expert; able to provide and communicate complex technology solutions across differing audiences including technical, managerial, business executives, and/or vendors. Will have responsibility for multiple, complex projects; will direct activities of teams related to special initiatives or operations and may have direct reports. Leads the resolution process for complex problems where analysis of situations or data requires an in-depth evaluation of various factors. Exercises judgment within broadly defined practices and policies in selecting methods, techniques, and evaluation criterion for obtaining results. Information Technology degree and/or technology certifications preferred or substantial equivalent experience. Typically 7-10 years of IT experience.

The role of the Sr. DDI / IPAM Network Engineer is primarily focused on the proper design and implementation of the global DNS / DHCP / IP Address Management (IP v4 & IP v6) framework for the firm. As a key member of the DDI / IPAM Engineering team, this individual will be responsible for delivering high level and low designs for DNS, DHCP, NTP, PTP, and technologies. They will contribute to and adhere to the design standards within this space, while closely working and collaborating with peer Networks and Systems Engineering and Operations teams. They will be expected to drive delivery of engineering solutions, support project delivery, and act as a subject matter expert within these areas for technology.

Qualifications

Key Responsibilities & Professional Competencies:
-Deliver high level and low level design of DNS, DHCP, and Time Services
-Drive delivery of DDI solutions, including project and implementation support
-Provide DDI consulting services to peer Engineering, Operations, and Systems teams
-Provide Level 3 / 4 DDI escalation support for Network Operations
-Work with external vendors to manage network capacity within the infrastructure. Proactively work with internal partners to determine growth requirements and ensure proper capacity is seeded to meet that demand.
-Provide governance support for product life cycle management which will include technology refresh and ensuring adherence to standards for products in portfolio
-Assists in planning regional budget and identifying critical budget needs for the region

Professional Competencies (Must Haves):
 -7+ years of deep technical experience working on IPAM environments
-BS or BA in engineering or computer science, or equivalent experience
-Thorough understanding of DHCP, DNS, IP Addressing and Time Services
-High degree of experience in the day to day configuration and Sr. level troubleshooting of IPAM DHCP, DNS, and DDNS
-Experience in installing, configuring, and troubleshooting VitalQIP suite of products in a large distributed environment
-IPAM knowledge of:
-Thorough understanding of VitalQIP
-Creating & modifying DNS zone files manually (forward and reverse zones)
-DNS Anycast
-Time Services knowledge of:
-NTP
-PTP
-Work collaboratively with other teams such as LAN, WAN, firewall, Active Directory, Hosting etc.
-Integration of DNS and DHCP in Active Directory environment
-Knowledge of F5 3DNS and GTM a plus
