What you'll get to do:

What you'll get to do:

The Senior Developer is responsible for developing and maintaining applications using a variety of technologies that support multiple lines of Business and IT initiatives. This individual may work independently or collaborate with a smaller group of developers in similar efforts. POSITION DUTIES: Medica Health Plans seeks a Senior Application Developer at its Minnetonka, MN office to be responsible for comprehending and analyzing business requirements, creating technical and design documents, both independently and in close collaboration with senior development staff to meet business and IT requirements, and translating requirements into Functional and Technical specifications.  The specific duties and responsibilities are:
·        Ensure technical specifications meet business requirements and desired outcomes for all development activity, while mitigating security, vulnerable and risk measures;
  • Provide Subject Matter Expertise across technology stack (Presentation, Business logic, Application Integration, and Data tiers);
  • Provide technical direction to the project and junior developers where delegation occurs;

What you'll get to do:

The Portfolio Analyst owns the tactical support, monitoring and control over the project demand and resource planning processes. The PMO Portfolio Analyst ensures that project requests are properly processed and related status information is timely, accurate and complete. This position works in coordination with the IT Business Operations/Finance Management role to ensure that project request financial information is communicated, analyzed and considered within the overall IT Department budget. In addition this role collaborates with the Portfolio Managers to ensure communication with Business Owners and key executive level leaders is completed in an accurate and timely manner. This position reports to the IT Business Operations Manager and will work day-to-day with Portfolio Managers, business leaders, Project Managers and functional managers across IT.

This position will also be a major contributor to the IT Business Operations functions relating to the IT Department. Activities include resource planning and forecasting, creation and maintenance of dashboards for distribution across IT as well as executive level leaders and business segments.

Examples of specific activities include:
  • Provide independent reporting and analysis of project intake data, such as estimating, scoping as well as financial and resource impact
  • Facilitate and serve as liaison in partnership with the IT Business Operations Portfolio Managers, regarding project request initiation and clarification, status, funding and release scheduling
  • Work with IT Business Operations leadership to establish and maintain processes and procedures related to project demand and resource forecasting
