What you'll get to do:

Platform Solution Architects are responsible for planning and designing IT solutions that are efficient, stable, resilient, secure, and aligned with Medica’s business strategies and standards. The initial focus for this role will be to support the technical design, and development of business strategies and initiatives. Integration of solutions and information will involve in-house technologies and capabilities with external 3rd party vendors and applications.

The Platform Solution Architect assists in:
  • Development and implementation of a long term infrastructure and systems architecture plan for the respective business segment at Medica
  • Driving the technology direction and architectural approach based upon his/her understanding of the technical environment (possibilities as well as limits)
  • Advising the IT Department as a technical expert in enterprise wide architecture. These duties include the assisting in the design/architect for all systems, the evaluation and recommendation of technical solutions, and assist in the development of strategies to migrate legacy applications
Key Accountabilities:
  • Establish & Implement the Medica Enterprise Architecture plan
  • Solution Architecture
  • Operations Architect
  • Staff Management

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology
  • 10+ years of related experience
  • 4+ years experience with developing technical architecture, and vendor relationships
  • 4+ years in a technical leadership position in multiple technical disciplines
  • 2+ years experience as an Enterprise Architect

Specific types of experience:
  • Building a business case for an investment 
  • Team leadership or management 
  • Enterprise Architecture including: Solution Architecture; Technical Architecture and Application Architecture 
  • Enterprise Governance Models 
  • Organizational Change Management
