Job Description :
The SQL Server Database Administrator (DBA) performs many related database functions across one or more teams or clients, including designing, implementing and maintaining new databases, backup/recovery, and configuration management. Candidate will be responsible for providing input for modification of procedures and updating documentation used for problem resolution and day-to-day maintenance.
 
Key responsibilities:
·         Focus on addressing day-to-day management, support, and troubleshooting activities of the team
·         Provide database administration support, oversee environment management, monitor database health (e.g. proactive and reactive responses), resource planning, perform database upgrades and patching, provide backup/recovery, and make recommendations regarding enhancements and/or improvements
·         Develop and manage daily operational procedures
·         Provide Production database support based on team coverage and pager duty responsibilities
 
The Database Administrator position will require an understanding of SQL Server and Oracle technologies.
 
Applicants selected will be subject to a government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information.
Job Requirements :
·         Must have an active TS/SCI clearance
·         Minimum of 3 years of experience with SQL Server Administration
·         Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Business or related field and 5 years’ experience; or 1 year of graduate education and 3 years’ experience; or 9 years related experience.
·         ALL positions require Sec+ certification with 90 days of start to be 8570 compliant.

Job Description :
The Linux/Unix System Administrator is responsible for performing the day-to-day operations and support of the datacenter Red Hat and Sun Solaris environments. This position will perform tier-2 escalation support and must possess experience in the operations and support of computer systems in a multi-server environment, with a focus on system administration of UNIX operating systems.
Primary responsibility will include hands on technical support work related to the overall health and maintenance of the operating system environments (Red Hat/Solaris) in support of 24/7 operations. Additionally, this individual is responsible for supporting operating system changes required for the transition of new applications into the datacenter.
·         Provide hands on technical support (Tier-2) related to the overall health and maintenance of the Linux/Solaris operating environments in support of 24/7 operations
·         Perform remote monitoring of server/system health and status using provided tools (e.g., BMC, Satellite Server, Operations Manager)
·         Ability to decompose complex problems to ensure timely and accurate resolution of system anomalies before they impact operations
·         Understanding of server ‘virtualization’
·         Work with engineering and/or entity personnel to identify and troubleshoot operational and performance related issues
·         Participate in rotational pager duty to provide on-call support; including off-hours server administration and problem escalation
·         Plan and execute the installation and configuration of Linux/UNIX server operating environments within the datacenter (Red Hat / Sun Solaris)
