Thomson Reuters Tax & Accounting is currently looking for a dynamic Software Engineer to join their Web Marketing team. This role will work with other programmers and analysts in the Web Marketing department on the design, architecture, development, and maintenance of the company websites, customer self-service modules and other related applications. This role must have strong back-end web development skills and be proficient in different programming languages to support business needs. This position involves communicating with other departments to analyze needs and solutions using various back-end data sources. The position will need to handle multiple projects, meet deadlines, and manage shifting priorities.

- Architect, develop, and implement web applications utilizing coding and security best practices for company web properties, customer self-service modules, and other related projects
- Handle quality assurance testing and bug/fix resolution
- Create project documentation

Qualifications

Qualifications
- Bachelors degree in Computer Science or equivalent
- Experience developing web-based applications and services in Java
- Object Oriented experience such as PHP and/or Java
- Experience with CMS tools (Wordpress, Adobe CQ5) a plus
- JavaScript, jQuery, AJAX, Microsoft Visual Studio, IIS or Apache experience is a plus
- Writing effective SQL and Stored Procedures Knowledge of web development security best practices desirable
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Demonstrated ability to work well within a team environment
- Self-motivated and self-directed
- Ability to prioritize multiple tasks according to their importance to ensure completion of company requirements with timeliness

The Senior Software Engineer will be responsible for the design, development and testing of web applications for the ONESOURCE Workflow Tools products. Thomson Reuters Tax & Accounting is seeking a Sr. Software Engineer in Test for our Browser Development team. The Browser Development team is responsible for the web interface to our compliance tax application system along with many of the back-end processes that support the product. The team interacts with multiple groups across the business from gathering requirements to testing the end product.

We need an individual who is:

- Experienced in defining and executing appropriate test strategies depending on the given context

Qualifications

Qualifications
- The ideal candidate will present all or a majority of the following:
- 4-year college degree in Computer Science, MIS, or a related field
- 6 or more years of commercial software testing experience
- Excellent testing skills
- Very good understanding of using the most appropriate automation approaches/tools for the job at hand

Knowledge and experience testing in environments with the following: technologies
- Proficient with QA methodologies, software testing life cycle and test automation best practices
- Experience in designing and developing test automation frameworks
- Should have very good programming skills in C#, .net, scripting (VB, JS), JQuery, QTP scripting
- Should be very proficient in SQL
- Experience with either QTP or Selenium test tools
