Description

Thomson Reuters Tax & Accounting is searching for a Senior Software Engineer to join our Corporate Software development team. This team develops robust web-based corporate tax software solutions used by Fortune 1000 corporations.Tools and methodologies used include ASP, VBScript, C#, .NET, Silverlight, XML, Infragistics, MS SQL, TFS, continuous integration, and test-driven development.

We are looking specifically for someone with good understanding of design patterns, strong OO principles and proven ability of continuous code refactoring and unit testing. We value technical aptitude and a proven record of performance over proficiency with a specific tool set.

Qualifications

The ideal candidate will present all or a majority of the following:
- 4-year college degree in Computer Science or a closely related field
- 5 or more years of commercial software development experience that includes at least 3 years of MS SQL Server database development experience
- Evidence of being innovative and self-motivated
- Proven ability to understand and describe complex designs and systems
- Demonstrated ability to learn and wisely apply new platforms and technologies
- Desire to work in a team environment serving multiple internal customer groups
- Demonstrated ability to work on complex tasks with minimal technical and management guidance
- Prepared for a highly collaborative team environment with much technical discussion and open debate
