Job Description :
PRO-telligent, LLC, a Tetra Tech company is currently seeking a Wintel System Administrator to support a government client in Ashburn, VA.
• After successful transition into the
datacenter, supervising, managing the daily activities of
configuration, maintenance, patching, updating and troubleshooting the
operational systems.
• Optimizing systems and resource utilization, while continuing to provide system capacity analysis and planning
• Designs and administers programs to
include policies, standards, guidelines, training programs, and a viable
quality assurance process for disaster recovery.
• Use of Altiris for provisioning Windows Operating systems
• Oversees and reviews the testing and
implementation of software, data systems, and data networks to ensure
that the integrity and security of all electronic data and data systems
are adequately protected.
• Assists in the coordination and
establishment of disaster recovery programs and business resumption
planning across mainframe and client server platforms.
• Coordinates and monitors simulation testing across all platforms.
• Plan and execute the installation
and configuration of Windows Systems into the Client’s Datacenter,
configure, optimize, monitor, operate and maintain systems.
• Plan and execute patches, and troubleshooting problems
• Some overtime (including nights, weekends, holidays)
• Pager duty required to support on-call escalation procedures

Job Requirements :
• Must have an active TS/SCI
• Associates degree in IT related field and 5 years’ experience OR 7 years’ experience
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills
• Strong problem solving and troubleshooting skills
• ALL positions require Sec+ certification within 90 days of start to be 8570 compliant.
Preferred Skills
• Experience in Intelligence Operations
• Experience with Windows clustering technologies (Veritas Cluster services, or other) desired
• Experience with Remedy and opening/closing/transferring problem tickets
• Datacenter/Server Operational Components (Monitoring, Management, etc.)
• Asset Management experience with tools and process
• Server Virtualization with VMWare
• Database Administration experience (Oracle)
• Network Administration experience (Cisco, ciscoworks)
• Storage Administration experience (NetApp, EMC, SUN, HP, Hitachi, SGI)
Travel/Shift Hours/OT Requirements
