We are currently looking for an analyst to be part of an exciting, new venture at Paychex in the cloud/mobile computing space. This
position will require that the candidate be a consultant to IT and the
business taking product strategy and high level objectives and breaking
them down into detailed requirements. The
candidate will need to possess both business and technical competencies
- business knowledge as well as have an appreciation of IT capabilities
and the discipline to carry through change built around new technology. Above all, the candidate must possess impeccable business writing skills and be an effective communicator and liaison.
Qualifications
Requirements
· 3
years of experience in a business analyst role within new product
development for a technology company supporting SaaS-based web
applications and mobile environments.
· Some understanding of accounting principles and GAAP
· Experience in product development, product lifecycle management, functional and process analysis.
· Experience understanding emergent technology trends related to financial software packages
· Ability
to identify critical issues within product specifications, design, and
development and establish resolutions quickly and efficiently.
· Travel is required. Approximately 20%
Bachelor’s degree required. The
successful candidate will possess excellent verbal and written
communication/presentation skills, strong quantitative, analytical
problem solving abilities, process redesign skills and a passion for
technology development and design. They have a sense of urgency and are
able to develop concrete plans in ambiguous situations.
