Our Product and Technology team is looking for a Senior Java Developer.The team is developing applications pertaining to airline operations - planning, tracking and scheduling; refining it as delays and other disruptions arise. Users of our system require sophisticated visualization tools and powerful decision support and automation in order to carry out their complex daily work. You will have an opportunity to work and cooperate with an experienced, committed team within a good atmosphere, working in modern technologies and delivering on a completely new platform.
DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Will use core Java expertise to develop within the full SDLC using Agile/Scrum methodologies
• Will work with teams on providing solutions for complex problems (design and performance related)
• Applies industry best engineering practices
EDUCATION: Bachelor's degree or equivalent.
Must have skills:
• Minimum 5 years of experience in Java Development
• Deep understanding of Core Java, JMS, Spring and Hibernate
• Hands-on experience with web services, XML, JAXB
• Good understanding OOP, Design Principles and Agile Practices (Scrum, CI, TDD, Simple Design)
• Good understanding of software development processes and practices
• Good communication and interpersonal skills
• Experience with Unit and Functional Testing (jUnit, Mockito, FitNesse)
Nice to have skills:
• Experience with Swing, Camel and JGroups
• Experience with Oracle and web applications
• Experience with version control tools(SVN, Git) and build tools(Maven, Teamcity)
