We use the state of the art big data and machine learning technologies, such as ADMM, statistical methods, convex, linear and quadratic programming, Hadoop, Pig, and NoSQL. This team is looking for a Technical Lead/ Architect to lead the overall technical direction of our relevance infrastructure platforms. In addition to setting the strategy, you will be responsible for designing the next generation of highly-scalable machine learned systems for recommendations, response prediction, and content matching, and leading and mentoring other software engineers in the implementation of these products.

• 10+ years of experience in both individual contributor and technical lead/architect/engineering manager roles
• Exceptional background and knowledge in building large scale distributed systems in a real-time, production serving environment
• Strong background and experience with working on machine learning algorithms and systems, with an emphasis on statistical learning/models
• Significant experience in a engineering leadership role as both a system designer and mentor for other engineers
• Significant experience with solving “big data” problems using clustered computing systems (e.g. Hadoop, Cosmos)
• Significant experience with building both models and systems for recommendation, response prediction (e.g. click prediction), and/or optimization problems
• Familiarity with search engine/information retrieval technology and techniques
• Experience and ability to work with peers in engineering and product management across teams to set technical and product direction
• M.S. (or equiv.) in Computer Science, Ph.D. preferred
