Position Responsibilities SunGard (Loanet) provides services and solutions to the expanding securities lending and financing markets. Broker dealers, custodian banks and financial institutions around the world depend on these solutions for recordkeeping, regulatory compliance, operations and settlement. Job Description: Serve as a Senior Programmer Analysts to complement the growing team of Loanet Sigma Series COBOL Application Developers. The primary deployment language is COBOL II using Micro Focus Net Express IDE and Fujitsu COBOL. The candidate should be able to: • Create functional and technical specifications from a baseline business specification • Work in a fast paced, interactive, team focused environment *                    Develop robust COBOL programs for the Sigma Series product line *                    Conduct effective testing (unit, integration, system, regression, volume) to ensure successful production implementations • Provide production support *                    Mentor junior team members in best practices and procedures Position Requirements • Minimum 10 years full life cycle product development including structured analysis, design and programming • Exceptional communication skills (written and verbal) and the ability to work as a member of a group • IBM mainframe experience using TSO and OS/JCL and Utilities, FILEAID, COMPAREX, SYNCSORT, VSAM • Exceptional problem-solving and analytical skills • Production support experience • Experience on Microsoft Office products: Word, Excel, Visio The following items are a plus for the position: • Work experience or education in financial markets, particularly brokerage back office operations • Experience with Micro Focus COBOL, Micro Focus Net Express, Fujitsu COBOL • Knowledge of multiple platforms (mainframe, Windows servers) • Experience with common Windows scripting (DOS) • DB2, SQL Server or other database experience • Mentoring, team leadership North American Securities
