SUMMARY DESCRIPTION: Director-Position will lead the IT Business Office, QA, BA, IT Project Management and Change Management. Position will oversee IT project managers related to custom application development, ERP and packaged software deployments. Working with the CIO and other Information Technology Leaders, will support the implementation of the strategic and tactical enterprise system roadmap projects, run the business projects and IT business office activity. Works with all IT Directors to promote effective management of resources and workloads.  Accountable for internal project coordination, risk management, and issue management.  Oversees QA team in creating test plans and testing efforts. Oversees BA team in developing and documenting quality business requirements. Oversees the IT internal economy and works with internal Business Segment leaders to understand the billing scope on a monthly and annual basis.  Oversees the IT annual budgeting and forecasting process. Oversees the creation and management of SSME goals.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Anticipates program delays and adjusts resources to stay on course
  • Aligns and delivers IT work with business needs and priorities
  • Builds and manages the Support teams, determine resource needs, and participate in the recruitment, selection, evaluation, and development of application personnel
  • Establishes standard processes to execute projects based on priorities established by the company and the departments.
  • Identifies opportunities for process improvements and implement strategies for improvement, as appropriate
  • Leads and Identifies need for projects within the IT group and coordinates with Managers to develop project plans
  • Oversee the development release process
  • Oversee the change management process
  • Prepares standard and special reports for senior management as assigned
  • Assists the CIO in recruiting for new positions or filling positions
  • Closely coordinates and controls program change requests with functional users
  • Lead Organizational improvement projects
  • Facilitates IT organization annual planning process and produces appropriate documentation as assigned
 

Qualifications

 
EDUCATION:  (Minimum formal education the job requires)
  • BS/BA in computer science or business administration or any equivalent combination of education and experience
 PREFERRED EXPERIENCE:  (Minimum experience the job requires)
  • Ten (10) years of experience in IT and Financial management
  • Experience supervising and directing the work of a large, multi-discipline staff
  • Experience implementing best practice performance metrics in IT organizations
 KNOWLEDGE:  (Level of knowledge required to perform the job effectively)
  • Proficiency in MS Office Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint
  • Expert in large implementations, upgrades, and periodic maintenance
  • Knowledge of System Testing procedures/methodologies
  • Thorough understanding of performance review process
  • Thorough understanding of budgetary concepts and procedures
  • Thorough understanding of IT service management technics and practices
