Position Description • Gain overall understanding of existing system architecture. • Involvement in design and development of components/modules. • Strong involvement from the perspective of efficient implementation of complex algorithms and Business workflows. • Share overall responsibility for quality of the product, keeping in mind aspects such as performance, security and scalability. • Support during US production hours. Position Requirements • Very good understanding and experience of 3+ years in Core Java on UNIX and associated development tools like Java IDE. • Knowledge of JUNIT framework. • Exposure to C++ preferred and must be clear on object oriented concepts. • Work experience on design patterns. • Hands on experience on Multi-threading, socket programming, real time trading/banking applications and experience of various debugging tools. • Understanding of databases, preferably Sybase. • Good at code understanding and reverse engineering. • Good analytical and problem solving skills. • Excellent verbal and written communication skills and demonstrable clarity of thought. • Preferred exposure to Finance/Trading domain.
