Requirements:

• Prior experience leading a team or large projects in a fast-paced environment 
• Demonstrated ability to build large-scale, complex systems
• Development experience with object-oriented PHP
• Development experience writing efficient SQL queries
• Development experience hand-coding interactive sites with HTML, CSS, and JavaScript
• Working knowledge of source control and bug tracking tools
• Ability to break down and solve complex problems by creating practical, maintainable, extensible, and scalable solutions
• Exceptional collaborative skills & philosophy, self-motivation, and communication skills
• Bachelor's degree, or commensurate experience

Preferred:

• Experience working with jQuery or another JavaScript framework
• Familiarity with MySQL, Lucene/Solr
• Understanding of web site performance concepts (client- and server-side)
• Comfortable with shell scripting (bash, Perl)
• Experience working with automated QA (unit testing, TDD, etc.)
