Position Responsibilities We are currently engaged in a number of challenging client projects that require Java developers with Scala or Ruby experience with strong fundamentals in software engineering and computer science to address challenging design and deployment problems. Position Requirements We are looking for a full stack Senior Engineer who is able to Define, Build and Deliver technology services in a high velocity, dynamic, always on environment Technology snapshot: Akamai, Brocade load balancers, Git/Gerrit, Graphite, Java, Linux, Nagios, Riak, Ruby, Scala, Splunk, and Tomcat • You have 5+ years of experience developing production-quality code • Strong understanding of functional & object-oriented design principles and patterns • Experience with test-driven development • Experience performing code reviews • Familiarity with developing concurrent applications •Expertise in Java, Ruby, or Scala •Expertise in SOAP and RESTful web service API •A strong sense of ownership, initiative, and drive •Lead technical projects, collaborating with engineering, QA, business and technical operations to Design, Build and Operate technology services. design and implementation •Experience automating cloud computing infrastructures, cdns, network equipment, or infrastructure services •A strong understanding of both the theory and application of foundation protocols such as HTTP, DNS and TCP/IP. •With various flavors of Unix and Linux including Redhat, CentOS, Solaris • Ability to work well in a fast pace environment, be flexible and adaptable in a fast changing environment. • Masters degree in Math, Computer Sci, Engineering or Bachelors Degree in Math, Computer Science, Engineering SunGard Offers full time, salaried opportunities, a competitive compensation structure and a very generous benefits packages which includes, but is not limited to, a matching 401K program, tuition reimbursement, etc. We are also proud to offer robust professional training and development programs which help SunGard Consultants to continually stay ahead of the learning curve SunGard is one of the world's leading software and technology services companies.
