Job Requirements :

- Good knowledge of Oracle DBA tasks and processes (although this might not have been the candidates primary role).
- Knowledge of networking principles and terminology including DHCP/DNS.

- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Oracle certification.
- Exposure to Linux (ideally RedHat).

Nb. Some “out of hours” (early morning/late evening and weekend) work is required: systems upgrades and testing cannot always be performed in normal working hours due to the needs of both internal users and external clients, and systems failures must be dealt with as and when they occur. Careful management and control of the company’s systems ensures that failures are few, and sensible release and test organisation typically keeps the planned out-of-hours work to 1-2 occasions per quarter.
