Position Responsibilities Technical Demonstrate proficiency in all technical responsibilities of Quality Assurance Application Specialist. Use GMI utilities to assist in ongoing Quality Assurance testing (e.g. file compare programs for specific files). Use AS/400 commands to perform job functions (e.g. RSTOBJ, SAVOBJ,  STRSQL, STRDFU). Use knowledge of CL and RPGLE to perform light programming projects / debugging. =Complete technical training courses as assigned. Business Exhibit effective communication skills necessary to act as a liaison between clients and SunGard staff and between Quality Assurance and other departments within the company. Complete business and application related training courses as assigned. Use business, technical, and application knowledge to assist in the analysis of test results. Make contributions to the SDLC process by recognizing bottlenecks or processes that impede Quality Assurances ability, or detract from the SDLC process. Departmental Exhibit a professional work ethic that reflects the critical role fulfilled by this position. Employ organizational skills to keep track of distribution questions/problems, release alerts, etc. Make contributions to the SDLC process by recognizing bottlenecks or processes that impede Quality Assurances ability, detract from the SDLC process. Perform administrative tasks such as assigning/ returning modules, creating external media and transmitting programs to clients, as needed. Complete Time Accounting and update Teamsoft. Position Requirements Show aptitude for acquiring technical skills. Ability to identify trends through testing and provide corrective measures Overall Project testing responsilibities. Act as mentor to junior level staff. Create scriptes and test cases 3+ years of Quality Assurance testing Display good communication and organizational skills. Exhibit adequate writing skills and proficiency in word processing. Demonstrate a willingness to aggressively pursue knowledge acquisition.
