Position Description The Senior Configuration and Build Engineer will have the following key responsibilities: • Creating, Enhancing and unifying build scripts that create the delivery and deployment artefacts from source files of various types. • Taking over responsibility for the flow of information through our distributed Source Code Management through operations like merges, reviews and synchronization of different servers. • Providing developers with guidance and tooling for managing third party libraries and enforcing compliance requirements. • Operation and Maintenance of  Build- and Continuous Integration servers Position Requirements Required Skills: • 3+ years of experience in Configuration, Build and Release Engineering • Strong knowledge of Software Development Life Cycle, Software Build and Release Management methodologies • Expert understanding of merging, branching, versioning, labelling and managing the release of production code • Experience with Git software configuration management (additional knowledge of SVN and CVS is a plus) • Experience in developing and maintaining complex ANT, Maven, Shell build scripts • Proficiency in one or more scripting languages like Python or Shell scripts • Experience with Continuous Integration using Hudson, Jenkins or similar tools • Programming experience in at least one non scripting language, preferably Java • Ability to communication fluently in English (Good communication skills in German are a plus) Desired Skills: • Experience in System and Network Management and Monitoring • Active experience with cloud infrastructure technology, like for example Amazon Web Services • Operational knowledge of web and application servers - Apache, Tomcat, JBoss, or others • Experience with Continuous Integration using Jenkins, or similar tool SunGard Financial Systems provides mission-critical software and IT services to institutions in virtually every segment of the financial services industry. In addition, we also provide professional services that focus on application implementation and integration of these solutions and on custom software development. Job Description: In this role you will take responsibility for the build, configuration and delivery tooling of the Infinity Process Platform,  a strategic Business Process Management solution developed by an international team distributed over four continents. The Infinity Process Platform is a Java enterprise solution largely based on Open Source Technology http://www.eclipse.org/stardust/ and runs on a large set of target platforms, hence this task contains aspects of Open Source development paradigms, distributed Source Code Management and Java Enterprise deployment configuration. In order to master these challenging automation tasks, you will mainly rely on state of the art configuration management technologies like Git and Maven but also leverage tools like  Ant, Ivy, SVN or various scripting languages where appropriate. This position requires  a highly structured and dedicated working style and will offer a wide field of opportunities for learning and professional growth. Working location will be Frankfurt, Germany.
