Description

Serve as part of a core technology team building new FX trading platform, as well as Financial Information Exchange (FIX) gateways and post-trade/STP components. Work on the design and implementation of high performance, scalable, distributed and reliable trading system utilizing hands on system design and development. Improve application performance and reliability, design and implement ongoing enhancements; Investigate production defects and provide recommendations. Collaborate with product managers and clients to implement features that improve usability. Conduct performance tuning and profiling and instrumentation. 40 hrs/wk, M-F 9:00am-5:00pm.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering or related field plus 5 years of experience in development trading and financial systems. Must have experience with CORE Java and Web technology (Servlet, JSP, Struts, HTML, DOM, Javascript, firewall, proxies and security) with emphasis on efficient, high performance, low latency coding within the foreign exchange trading industry. Experience with industry standard messaging service and protocol, such as FIX or SWIFT. Experience in continuous integration, agile development methodologies. Experience with Relational databases (Sybase/Oracle/JDBC) and non relational bid data system (Redis, Hardoop); Hands on experience with industry standard messaging middleware: TIBCO EMS, IBM MQ Series, Active MQ and Sonic/MQ; Experience with distributed transaction System: Gigaspaces XAP. Experience working with Hibernate and Spring technologies; Experience in build/process management (Maven, Hudson, Subversion).
