- Good understanding of software engineering principles and object-oriented design, analysis
- 5+ years of hands on experience with Java programming like Struts, JDBC, XML, Web Service, Hibernate or other OR mapping tools, Spring, ExtJS, Javascript etc.
- Demonstrated experience on Java development on Application Server like Tomcat etc.
- Experience/Knowledge of Oracle database, PL/SQL would be a strong plus.
- Experience/Knowledge of shell, like Bash, Ksh etc would be a plus
- Strong on critical thinking and analytical skills
- Familiar with Solaris or other Unix variant
- Ability to communicate in English in both verbal and written.
- Passion for learning and strong learning skills
- Good team player
- Ability to work under pressure
