Description

We are seeking a skilled Software Engineer to join our team in Dexter, MI. Software Engineers on the Conversion Services team develop data conversion applications to assist customers migrate data from competitor tax and accounting software products to Thomson Reuters products.

This position requires a professional who can succeed in a dynamic work environment where priorities change based on evolving business needs. Deadline driven project assignments and our iterative approach to development processes, requires an individual with excellent communication skills. Candidates must have experience working with C++. Familiarity with MFC, .NET Framework (particularly C#) desirable.

Responsibilities:
- Design,code, document and test data conversion applications
- Collaborate with software engineers and business analysts on implementing specifications,enhancements, modifications and updated business logic
- Work with data access technologies to create and update data extractions and related development tools used to map data structures
- Maintain existing data conversion applications and development tools
- Participate in peer code reviews
- Work on special projects as assigned

Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field preferred
- Experience programming C++ (Experience with MFC, C# and .NET a plus)
- Experience with encryption a plus
- Excellent verbal and written communications skills
- Strong planning, and time management skills with the ability to handle multiple projects
- Able to work independently with minimal direction and guidance to achieve goals
- Detail oriented and highly organized with strong analytical and problem solving skills
