Job Description :
The Partners
Engineering team in Hyderabad will be responsible for developing a new
Web oriented version of current FactSet’s Partners product using MVC3
/C# / C++/jQuery product containing key. The initial focus will be
mainly in the area of document authoring and client workflow. To deliver
the best product in the market space members of the team will be
required to leverage cutting edge Web technologies and integrate it with
back end technologies like OpenXML. This is a great opportunity for a
strong engineer to join this highly energetic team with the common goal
of building new cutting edge service. Besides the new Web based product,
engineers will be required to support and enhance the existing
solution. Activities include bug fixing, database integration (SQL
server, Oracle and Sybase), enhancements to existing codebase with newer
technologies, refactoring existing code and consulting team support.
Members of this team are expected to deal with a large set of Microsoft
technologies, be
- Knowledgeable with the business logic part of the application and required to interact with consulting team.
- Develop frontend/backend components of the solution using MVC3/C#/jQuery/ C++
- Develop tools for Partners integration into client production environment
- Enhance the product to use new technologies
- Work on issues and enhancement of the Web client, Office client and server side application
- Attend to database integration activity writing migration scripts and enhancing Partners database tools
- Maintain previously released features
- Refactor existing code wherever required
- Write technical documentation of the front end and backend
- Work with product specialists to deploy new features on clients environments
- Work on a deadline focused environment
Job Requirements :
JOB REQUIREMENTS
1. 0 – 3 years commercial experience within a software development environment
2. Strong analytical and problem solving skills
3. Strong knowledge of OO concepts, design patterns, and of any OO language
4. Strong knowledge of relational database concepts and of SQL
5. Strong interest in working with a 100% Windows based solution nad strong Oraganizational and communication skills
6. B.Tech/BE/M.Tech/ME in Computer Science or equivalent from a reputed college/university
7. Strong
knowledge of any of the following items is a plus: C++, ATL/COM, C#,
MVC3, jQuery, IIS, COM+, SQL Server, Oracle, Sybase, Windows Server
administration, WinDbg
