Position Responsibilities We are currently engaged in a number of challenging client projects that require senior Java/J2EE developers and architects with strong fundamentals in software engineering and computer science to address challenging design and deployment problems. The client applications under development use advanced Java technology in the web development space. You may be the right person for this team if: • Enjoy Java/J2EE development and have successfully delivered web apps • Enjoy seeing the applications you build advertised during the Super Bowl • Want to build innovative applications used by millions of people Position Requirements Candidates must have all of the following experience: • Financial Services or Media background ideal but not required • Extensive back end web development expertise • Must have 10 plus years of programming and/or design, modeling tools and methodology or other technology disciplines. • Must have minimum 5 years of hands on experience developing server side applications with core Java/J2EE and XML. • Must have minimum 5 years of hands on experience in OOD, working with design patterns. • Experience with Spring Framework • Experience with Hibernate • Good understanding of REST & web services • Good understanding of Unix/Windows Operating system. • Excellent verbal and written communication skills. • Ability to react quickly to new demands in an ever-changing dynamic business environment. • Sound Analytical Skills. • Ability to work under pressure like a ‘swat’ team, producing results in a faster turnaround mode. • Ability to analyze and explain the risks involved in using, or not using, technology solutions to solve business or organizational problems and not compromising on the architectural direction and vision. • Must have a positive and a can do attitude. • Must be a self-motivator and be able to work with minimal direction. • Ability to travel a plus SunGard Offers full time, salaried opportunities, a competitive compensation structure and a very generous benefits packages which includes, but is not limited to, a matching 401K program, tuition reimbursement, etc. We are also proud to offer robust professional training and development programs which help SunGard Consultants to continually stay ahead of the learning curve.
