Position Description

Working as part of the build, release and continuous integration team:
• Maintain and enhance our continuous build, deploy, test and release infrastructure, with a particular focus on test tools and test automation.
• Working with the project test lead and CI team help implement automated testing tools ensuring they form a reliable part of the continuous integration process.
• Support the project teams in their use of test automation as part of the CI process.
• Help maintain our development infrastructure: specifically our source control, build, continuous integration and issue tracking servers and their integration.
• Monitor the output of the CI process and resolve issues before they impact project teams.
• Automate away work that is currently done manually.
• Quickly provide innovative solutions to the problems faced by the project teams.
• Empower other teams to be more productive and to increase product quality, through the implementation of tools and process that allow for rapid feedback.
• Identify ideas project wide that provide for efficiency and quality gains.
• Participate fully in team activities including planning, review and improvement events.
• Actively participate in the running of your team.
• Coach others in your specialist areas.
• Keep up to date on best practice, and available tool developments.

o Testing tools and frameworks – specifically NUnit, Rational Robot, Watir
o Build automation and scripting – specifically MSBuild, Powershell, Batch Files
o Continuous integration servers – specifically Jenkins
o Source control servers – specifically SVN
• Exposure to:
o Microsoft technologies – specifically VB6, COM+ and .Net
o SQL Server and Oracle
o Development of applications delivered via the web / browser
• Operating in a software as a service environment.
• Sound analytical, design and problem solving skills.
• A high degree of numeracy and a capacity for complex concepts.
• A positive, proactive and professional attitude.
• Relevant tertiary qualification and/or professional experience in a commercial environment.
