Our consulting service lines include Application Modernization, UX Engineering, Business Analytics, Information Management, Cloud Platforms, Mobility, and UX Frameworks and Design. We focus primarily on Microsoft products and technologies, but also work with many open source and mobile platforms.

Duties and Responsibilities
As a key part of our UX Engineering Team, you will be responsible for the architecture, design and development of next-generation UX solutions for our Fortune 1000 clients. You will work closely with business and IT stakeholders in a collaborative, team environment to envision and implement modern UX software architectures that are of extremely high quality:
Work directly with clients first to understand, then to map business needs to technical solutions.
Assess existing applications and recommend approaches for modernization. Document and present solutions to enterprise architects and CTOs. Rapidly prototype and prove solutions using the latest Microsoft or other technologies as needed.
Collaborate with a team of senior software architects and developers to implement the solutions.
For our current projects, we are looking for engineers who have the capability and knowledge to develop UX for large, scalable and distributed applications; you must have several years of hands-on UX development experience, including:
  • UI layout skills with XAML, AXML, XIB, or HTML5/CSS, with strong template and resource manager structure
  • Strong pattern development skills MVVM, MVC, MVP and other design patterns
  • Test Driven Development skills, with nUnit, xUnit, jUnit and mocks
  • IIS and ASP.NET (AppFabric & ADFS are a plus)
  • Asynchronous programming models (in JavaScript and native platforms)
  • Exposure to Adobe Creative Suite, Expression Blend and other design tools for collaboration with user experience designers
  • Experience with Visual Studio TFS, GitHub, or similar source control system
  • Demonstrated strong knowledge, experience, and proficiency in the following:
  • Object Oriented .NET Development (C#, Java, Objective-C, JavaScript)
  • Services Oriented Architecture & Enterprise Application Patterns
  • Practitioner of the Principles & Patterns of Agile Software
  • Software quality and testing procedures
Of course all good engineers have great capabilities beyond just the technology, and some of the attributes that BlueMetal is looking for include:
  • Technology consulting or similar business experience
  • Demonstrated project experience with regard to estimates, planning and deliverables
  • Proven ability to understand a customer's needs
  • Experience developing technical requirements based on business imperatives
  • Bachelor of Arts or Science degree in Computer Science or related discipline
