Summary

Responsible for producing and delivering fully tested software applications from business requirements and/or program specification on time, and according to specifications. This includes creating appropriate program documentation and adhering to standard procedures and methodologies.

Education/Experience

Programmer Analyst Sr,

Four year college degree and 4 or more years professional experience or 6 or more years professional experience is required. Additionally, one of the following requirements must be met: Demonstrates significant contribution to two or more functional areas and/or demonstrates significant contribution to applications using multiple system technologies or vendor systems. Either type of experience requires recommendation from management of those applications.

Programmer Analyst Lead

Four year college degree and 6 or more years professional experience or 8 or more years professional experience is required. Daily job duties include, but are not limited to:
performing technical analysis, and to apply business and technical specifications to affect application change while adhering to standards and guidelines throughout the software development lifecycle. Developer must be able to successfully analyze, code, unit and regression test a variety of application programs in both an Online (CICS) and Batch (MVS) environment. Ability to document process changes.
ANALYSIS - Programmer will be exposed to both Functional and Technical specifications and be able to code in current BETA programming standards.
CODING - utilize COBOL, DB2 and CICS in the current BETA environment.
TESTING - will learn to use current BETA tools including Platinum and Debug to verify project results.
DOCUMENTING - able to document programs and processes using current BETA tools including MS-Word, MS-Excel, etc.
COMMUNICATION - able to provide status and project updates to Team Leader, Manager and PMO.
SUPPORT - resolve abends and issues as needed on various applications.

Qualifications

Qualifications:
- Minimum 5 to 6 years mainframe experience using COBOL.
- Ability to lead other developers and staff on projects.
- Proficient in DB2, CICS, and Job Control Language are desired skills for this candidate.
- Strong analytical and technical skills along with solid communication skills, both written and verbal, are required.
- Ability to work within a structured project plan and complete tasks on time.
- Experience with TSO, Changeman, IBM dBug, Platinum, VISIO a plus.

· Experience with testing and debugging large-scale mainframe systems with high availability requirements.

· +5 years experience with software and solutions development.

· Expertise in applied cryptography and key management is preferred.

- Reviews, analyzes, and modifies programming systems including encoding, testing, debugging and documenting programs.
- Familiar with a variety of the field's concepts, practices, and procedures.
- Relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. Performs a variety of complicated tasks.
- Daily duties include, but are not limited to the ability to perform technical analysis and to apply business and technical specifications to affect application change while adhering to standards and guidelines throughout the software development lifecycle.
- Developer must be able to successfully analyze, code, unit and regression test a variety of application programs in Batch (MVS) environment and potentially an Online (CICS).
- Ability to document process changes.
- A wide degree of creativity and latitude is expected

Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited University or College
- 5-8 years of experience in the field or in a related area.
- Proficient in DB2 , CICS, and Job Control Language are desired skills for this candidate.
- Strong analytical and technical skills along with solid communication skills, both written and verbal, are required.
- Ability to work within a structured project plan and complete tasks on time.

Summary

Responsible for producing and delivering fully tested software applications from business requirements and/or program specification on time, and according to specifications. This includes creating appropriate program documentation and adhering to standard procedures and methodologies.

Qualifications

Education/Experience for Programmer Analyst Lead

Four year college degree and 6 or more years professional experience or 8 or more years professional experience is required. Additionally, one of the following requirements must be met: Demonstrates significant contribution to two or more functional areas and/or demonstrates significant contribution to applications using multiple system technologies or vendor systems. Either type of experience requires recommendation from management of those applications.

Education/Experience for Technical Analyst

Four year college degree and 8 or more years professional experience or 10 or more years professional experience is required. Additionally, one of the following requirements must be met: Demonstrates significant contribution to two or more functional areas and/or demonstrates significant contribution to applications using multiple system technologies or vendor systems. Either type of experience requires recommendation from management of those applications. Promotion to TA is also subject to senior management approval. Six Sigma Green Belt certification is preferred.
