Description

Summary

Responsible for producing and delivering fully tested software applications from business requirements and/or program specification on time, and according to specifications. This includes creating appropriate program documentation and adhering to standard procedures and methodologies.

Responsibilities

Continually seeks and assumes additional responsibility willingly. Consistently takes initiative to identify and implement improvements, even outside his/her assigned area of responsibility. Often analyzes existing systems for optimal performance and makes tuning recommendations as required. Completes all tasks at an accelerated pace, with accuracy, quality, and efficiency, while consistently following corporate policies and methodology procedures. Development: Provides technical innovation to satisfy clients' most challenging business requirements. Contributes to formulation of scope and objectives for a system. Demonstrates the ability to design user-friendly systems from limited requirements by seeking the necessary input from business & technical sources. Applies technical knowledge and skills to manage the design, development and delivery of complex projects. Produces detailed documentation and provides technical leadership and guidance to junior programmers involved in the project. Resolves complex, obscure problems even with little information given. Takes into consideration capacity limitations, operating time and form of desired results. Makes decisions based on an accurate understanding of company priorities and objectives. Demonstrates leadership by example in proper use of established processes and methodologies. Adheres to current system architectural design and concepts as they relate to programming technologies and data structures. Knowledge: Serves as a system expert, taking a lead role in the application of his or her expertise by supplying solutions to complex, technical tasks. Acts as a technical consultant to internal and/or external customers. Maintains a working knowledge of functional changes to the system. The Technical Analyst is a recognized authority based on proven mastery and successful application of his or her area(s) of expertise. Pursues knowledge of technical advances and applies acquired knowledge to contribute to the company's vision of its role in the industry. Has the ability to adapt quickly to different programming languages, data structures, and hardware platforms.

Qualifications

Education/Experience for Programmer Analyst Lead

Four year college degree and 6 or more years professional experience or 8 or more years professional experience is required. Additionally, one of the following requirements must be met: Demonstrates significant contribution to two or more functional areas and/or demonstrates significant contribution to applications using multiple system technologies or vendor systems. Either type of experience requires recommendation from management of those applications.

Education/Experience for Technical Analyst

Four year college degree and 8 or more years professional experience or 10 or more years professional experience is required. Additionally, one of the following requirements must be met: Demonstrates significant contribution to two or more functional areas and/or demonstrates significant contribution to applications using multiple system technologies or vendor systems. Either type of experience requires recommendation from management of those applications. Promotion to TA is also subject to senior management approval. Six Sigma Green Belt certification is preferred.
