Tennessee Bank National Association. The Capital Markets Group provides
fixed income sales, trading, and strategies for institutional investors
throughout the United States, Europe, and Asia. This position is responsible for the design, operation, and maintenance of enterprise level Windows 2008 Active Directory (AD) Architecture. As a technical lead, this position works closely with Exchange and Networks Leads to ensure a highly available and highly responsive systems environment for FTN Financial, an energetic and fast-paced leader in financial markets. The AD Administrator is responsible for implementing and maintaining security standards to ensure compliance with established security procedures and standards. This senior technical position will also provide mentoring and leadership for less experienced staff members. The successful candidate will possess a working knowledge of current Active Directory technology and current techniques for management of performance and operations, anti-virus, spam, patch management, maintenance, and tracking. Areas of responsibility: Lead and set standards for a secure and functional Active Directory in the Windows environment using best practices Create and maintain Group Policies Monitor AD and Exchange replication with monitoring tools such as MailScape and SCOM Use and integrate SCOM 2007 Maintain a working knowledge of all aspects of Active Directory and perform administrative tasks such as delegation of tasks, ADSI and VB scripting, Powershell DNS, FRS Replication, DFS, DHCP, WINS, GPO Domain migration with Windows 2008 Active Directory Server operations - participate with IT team in maintaining high availability: • monitor operations and ensure performance using SCOM and HP SIM • troubleshoot server issues and restore systems to high availability status Software deployment using SCCM Maintain Microsoft updates and patches with SCCM Plan and implement the upgrade path for AD, SCCM, SCOM, and other applications Develop, forecast, and manage capacity requirements; plan the implementation and migration in growth environment Security and compliance issues Asset management Vendor relations Project methodology and management Practices and techniques re: Change-Management Participation in the design and testing of Disaster Recovery strategy for the firm Leadership in the application and implementation of technology for competitive advantage in a growth environment Reports to management regularly regarding systems availability, operations, and trends. In addition, this position will maintain awareness of industry and technical trends and will advise management of opportunities to better serve the enterprise’s technical and business needs. Requirements | Qualifications: FTN requires at least eight years of experience in IT with two years of principal responsibility as AD Lead in a high availability, corporate environment. An attitude of customer service and excellent communication skills are expected. The candidate must enjoy working in a professional environment with high expectations of the IT staff. The successful candidate will have working knowledge and collateral experience in networks, Exchange, server infrastructure, and security as well as other disciplines named above. The candidate must have a proven, successful track record in handling multiple projects and tasks simultaneously. B.S. in Computer Science or other qualifying discipline is preferred along with experience in a structured IT environment with direct participation in best practices, process documentation, security standards, structured methodology and project management.
