We are seeking a smart, motivated and outgoing iOS developer with a grasp of the technologies in use on mobile devices today. Primary focus of the engineer will be to develop mobile UI on the iOS platform and back end interfaces and applications. A working affiliation with devices, operating systems, development frameworks, and browsers is a huge plus. 

The iOS team has been hauling over the last 2 years and many accomplishments, including developing the Flights, Cars, Hotels app that was inducted into the iPhone Hall of Fame!  The team is developing new apps for all of the Orbitz Worldwide consumer brands.

We are looking for people with a sense of curiosity about mobile technologies, and a strong ability to communicate about them is needed. You should enjoy working with a casual but fast-moving team and being involved in planning.

Responsibilities:

• Assist in architecting and implementing our mobile API
• Comfortable working in Agile development process
• Implementation in Java and Ruby (backend)
• Develop Objective C  code for iOS
• Debug, build test performance and quality control 

Qualifications:

• 5+ years of java is desirable
• 1+ year of mobile development experience with iOS and Objective C
• Ruby on Rails experience is desirable
• Skills in UI design and Mobile user experience is a big plus
