GENERAL DESCRIPTION:
The Sr. Principal Program Manager is responsible for leading the efforts of large scale technology migrations of Sabre’s customers onto Sabre’s ecosystem. This individual will need to be capable of managing a matrixed team of various systems experts to ensure that all systems, applications and infrastructure components of a migration are delivered according to the project scope. Direct customer and Technology vendor relationships will need to be established in order to effectively communicate and coordinate project deliverables and cut over timeline.
- Responsible for aligning the efforts of departmental or cross-functional teams to support the company's strategic objectives.
- Oversees the migration of very large and complex enterprise applications and services.
- Coordinates project benefits and capabilities that the organization can utilize to sustain, enhance and deliver portfolio objectives.
- Manages ongoing work through governance structures, creating high level plans that provide guidance to highly complex projects where detailed plans are established.
- Drives alignment and adherence to standards and direction set by the organization.
- Removes barriers that prevent efficient execution of projects.
- Advises senior/executive management of project and client status.
- Facilitates program level issues and change management resolution.
EXPERIENCE:
- Minimum 10 years related experience
- Operational experience managing large scale and scalable enterprise wide system migrations.
- Sound knowledge of both IT software development and deployment methodologies.
- History of managing matrixed teams across multiple organizations.
- Experience managing projects related to Migrations, Capacity Planning and PCI Compliance.
- Exceptional analytical, problem solving and decision making capabilities.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills and excellent presentation skills.
- Vendor management and customer facing experience.
- Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to influence others at all levels of the organization.
- Excellent organizational skills with strong attention to detail and follow-up.
- Ability to manage multiple projects, prioritize, meet deadlines, ensure quality and maintain flexibility in a fast-paced, service oriented environment.
