Orbitz is currently looking for a Sr. Microstrategy Developer to join our team based at Orbitz Worldwide’s Bangalore, India office. To perform this job successfully, an individual must be a team player and flexible self-starter who has the ability to take direction and work independently. This position requires a highly motivated individual with solid experience implementing enterprise data warehouse and business intelligence delivery solutions. The person in this role must have strong written and oral communication skills along with the ability to apply data warehouse architecture theories and concepts to creating solutions for the business to access critical information. The individual must be capable of leading the development process from design through implementation.

Responsibilities:

• Gather business requirements from end users and translate them into specifications design. Design, develop, and maintain the dimensional model based on business requirements
• Analyze requirements and determine level of effort.
• Provide ongoing support of enterprise data warehouse, continued development and enhancement of the data warehouse and development and enhancement of current reports.
• Mentor other team members.
• Develop code, test plans, expected results, and test data at a program level.
• Perform system analysis and identify solutions to technical problems.
• Prepare and maintain documentation to support computer operations, related manual procedures, and technical references.
• Provide production support activities for assigned systems
• Provide input to project estimates and work plans

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or similar concentration, with Master’s Degree preferred

• Minimum seven (7) years of experience in data warehousing concepts, practices and procedures.
• Minimum 5+ Yrs Hands-on Experience in Microstrategy development.
• Working experience of MicroStrategy 8.x /9.x Desktop, Report Services, Web, Intelligence  Server, Narrowcast, Office and OLAP Services.
• Should possess strong architectural, communication skills, be goal oriented, and have a demonstrated ability to produce results
• Knowledge of both Entity Relational Models, and Dimensional Models.
• In-depth understanding and knowledge of Star Schema and Snowflake schema
• Working knowledge of all Microstrategy components.
• MicroStrategy certification (MCE) and familiarity with version 9 a strong plus.
• Experience with Agile development methodologies (such as SCRUM) a plus
