As a PTD Application Support Specialist, you will provide support for the Stream Ubix products in the Americas. The Application Support Specialist is responsible for independent and advanced customer support.  Day to day tasks involve investigation and resolving client issues, new installations, upgrades and any project specific to assigned customers.  The wide variety of responsibilities will also require frequent interaction with the Sales, Product Management, Development, Quality Assurance, Documentation and Professional Services teams.  The Application Support Specialist will assist global clients in using PTD products for their business needs.  This role is highly customer focused and involves managing and dealing with large global and local financial institutions, researching and presenting business solutions, problem resolution, the logging and tracking of issues and raising the client’s awareness of SunGard's Stream PTD products.

Position Responsibilities:
• Provide support on SunGard's Stream Ubix products for implementations and production support
• Answering client calls, responding to client e-mails, and logging new client issues
• Communicate with the client base by means of e-mail, phones, and Client Service Bulletins / Client Information Bulletins
• Work with clients to complete preliminary analysis on ad-hoc work and client requests
• Ensure that the client is educated on relevant Stream PTD products
• Manage client open issues log and work with client to prioritize issues
• Attend scheduled status meetings
• Participate on team projects and on presentations including potential, new client sales presentations
• Write project and implementation plans
• Work with business analysts, developers, and QA via the SDLC process
• Provide training and coaching on Stream PTD products to clients
• Work with upper management to achieve system / corporate goals



Position Requirements:

• Experience in a Stream Ubix support or related role in capital markets environment either at a bank / broker or similar or within a service provision environment
• Strong industry knowledge of international capital markets specifically post trade, typically:
     o Understanding of various asset classes and properties – FX, Equities, Fixed income, Futures and options
     o Understanding of contracts such as futures, stock lending / borrowing, repos and reverse repos
     o Strong knowledge of trade life cycle including middle and back office processes
• Quick learner and self-motivator and familiar with similar type of software / systems
• Strong written and spoken communication skills
• Proficient written and spoken Spanish a plus
• Able to work independently and within a team
• Strong problem solving skills
• Professional manner in dealing with clients, even under pressure
• Highly organized with the ability to manage a heavy workload in a dynamic environment
• Strong client management skills
• Proven project management skills
• Show aptitude for acquiring new technical skills
• Demonstrate a willingness to aggressively pursue knowledge
• Exhibit self-motivating skills


Technical Requirements:

• The candidate must have SQL knowledge (Oracle)
• Experience working with databases(Oracle, Sybase, Sqlserver)
• Experience troubleshooting and configuring the following technologies (MQ Series, network connectivity, FIX/FIXML/FPML, SQL, Citrix) a plus
• Knowledge of Microsoft MS Office suite
• Knowledge of SalesForce


• Ability to work 'early shift' from 7AM CT to 4PM CT
• Ability to work 'late shift' from 10AM CT to 7PM CT
• Some remote off hours support is required

• College Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent preferred
