Position Responsibilities Key Responsibilities: • Work directly with internal and external technical individuals advising and training them in the setup and maintenance of the application. • Document activities and processes as well as self-manage workflow. • Assist other engineers on complex computing problems in enterprise environment, including production control, disaster recovery, networking, computer operations, and operating systems management. • Evaluate new and emerging technologies. • Work closely with Business Analysts to resolve customer issues. • Little or no travel will be required. • Be able to adjust schedule in short-term and/or respond quickly to critical client issues Position Requirements Qualifications (must satisfy a majority of the following): • 2 years .NET or Java experience.  Experience interfacing and working with SQL Server, Oracle, DB2, Sybase, or other relational database. • Bachelor's degree in computer science or related field and industry experience considered a plus. • Proficiency with MS Server 2000 / 2003 is required. • Moderate level of skill is required in either ASP, .NET, or Java/JSP. • Knowledge of at least one enterprise DBMS including Oracle, DB2 or SQL Server. • Knowledge of the technical aspects of systems and networks—specifically, Ethernet, switching, TCP/IP addressing and routing. • Ability to diagnose and understand reasons for system and network failures. • Good communication and presentation skills are essential. Distinguishing characteristics Employee has enough experience with complex computing and networking environments to be comfortable working with experts.
