Description

The Text Analytics and Machine Learning Team are looking for an experienced engineer or scientist to join the newly formed organization. The team focuses on developing products that are powered by advanced natural language processing and machine learning theory and techniques. The primary focus is on processing unstructured data, such as news, broker research, filings, social media data, etc., using both supervised and unsupervised machine learning techniques. In addition, the team also develops products that are quantitative in nature, derived from time series data.

Qualifications

The engineer will play a major role in building out and shaping the overall group. This person should be able to bring mere ideas to prototype, and then to production. Capabilities required to function in this high energy agile group are expert-level knowledge of a wide variety of NLP/ML tasks and solution techniques, in-depth understanding of trade-offs between different methods and operation domains, hands-on familiarity in classification, clustering, sentiment analysis, information extraction, syntactic/dependency parsing, document retrieval/ranking, query interpretation, etc. Some understanding of finance is highly desirable.
