Purpose

The role is part of a global Finance Transformation Programme with specific responsibilities to support the global rollout of Oracle eBusiness Suite and EPM/BI Suite. The role will report to the IS Director - Finance Systems.

The programme is one of the top three programmes in the organisation with very high visibility at the top level. This is a great opportunity for the selected candidate to make an impact within the organisation using their expertise of Oracle to make a difference.

The core purpose of the job holder will be to:

- Perform all support activities according to SITA standards and procedures or customer requirements as appropriate, maximising customer satisfaction by applying industry standard processes and procedures
- Translate and align technical, business and operational requirements of the applications into functional and technical specifications ensuring the overall viability/capability of the applications is achievable
- Ensure the integration of the requirements match those of interacting applications, both inside and outside of SITA
- Act as a technical/functional lead for multiple small to medium projects that have significant business impact ensuring the solution(s) developed are able to sustain long term business and technical requirements

Key Responsibilities

- Provide support to Finance teams in accordance with departmental procedures and as per the agreed SLAs
- Act as the single point of contact (SPOC) and co-ordinate technical/infrastructure troubleshooting with end users and other internal teams(Eg Data Centre), ensuring the highest level of customer service is maintained to resolve the fault and incident within the prescribed SLAs
- Proactively suggest, promote and implement ways to improve the service to end users, either via application improvements or process changes
- Develop creative and innovative solution designs for a complex module with minimal supervision
- Contribute to user workshops to validate requirements, confirm and negotiate specifications, verifying adherence to requirements in delivered solutions
- Responsible for the maintenance of functional and technical documentation
- Responsible for maintaining documentation and coding standards ensuring overall consistency is maintained
- Responsible for ensuring development standards and governance are followed by team members and/or 3rd party suppliers
- Act as the SPOC for performing QA of deliverables from 3rd party suppliers
- Own the responsibility for the application configuration and development, liaising with appropriate teams to determine effort, feasibility, scheduling, etc..
- Execute testing with Finance end users and third party service/application providers to ensure the application is functioning properly for cutover, ensuring all relevant documentation is in place (test plans, scripts, etc..)
- Ensure all risks and issues that affect a project are raised following set processes and are auctioned appropriately. Escalate risks and issues that pose a significant impact to deliverables
- Support implementation of the specific applications in each specific country/region
- Lead and mentor other members of the team to ensure they have the skills and knowledge to perform their roles

Education & Qualifications

- University degree or equivalent preferably in Computer Science, Engineering, Finance or similar
- ITIL Foundation certificate desirable
- Any formal accounting qualifications desirable
- Formal project management training desirable

Experience

- At least 10+ years experience in the deployment and support of Oracle eBusiness Suite upto R12.1.3 with multiple full lifecycle implementations
- Implemented modules are iProcurement, Purchasing, Advanced Pricing, Project Accounting, Project Management, Time & Labour, Payables, iExpenses, Fixed Assets, General Ledger, Receivables, Collections, Sub-Ledger Accounting, eBusiness Tax, Advances Global Intercompany System (AGIS), WebADI, Approvals Management Engine (AME)
- Experience of System Integration required
- Experience of Oracle eBusiness Suite workflows required
- Experience of SQL/PLSQL, Forms, BI/XML Publisher, OA Framework, ODI required
- Experience in Bi-Apps/OBIEE required
- Experience of managing offshore teams is required
- Experience of Oracle UPK desirable
- Experience of working as a development lead/manager in a support environment desirable
- Good understanding of infrastructure concepts ' virtualisation, networks, storage, etc..

Knowledge & Skills

- Fluent verbal and written communications skills in English and the local in-country language
- Good knowledge of MS Office applications
- Strong understanding of system integration, connectivity and hardware concepts/issues
- Working knowledge of SITA development and project tools such as version control, debugging, project management, etc..
- Ability to support, troubleshoot, analyze and investigate application software and/or IT systems
- Ability to analyze, draw conclusions and create solutions to end users' problems
- Ability to build relationships with end users and relevant management levels
- Ability to prioritise work, work under pressure and multi-task
- Ability to use team approach to solve problems when appropriate

- Ability to understand the solve problems related to infrastructure such as mail systems, storage, networks/firewalls
