Position Description SunGard’s MarketMap suite of front-to-back global, multi-asset class market data solutions help customers gain efficiencies and support growth, while managing costs associated with market data. MarketMap provides lightweight market data applications, customizable web components and data feeds, and a historical database solution for storing and managing high-volume time-series data and analytic modeling. In addition, MarketMap provides tools for application and data hosting as well as cross symbology services. SunGard is looking for a Production Support Engineer to join the MarketMap team who will have the following responsibilities: • Technical Support for MarketMap Software Components (Maintenance, Monitoring, Production issue resolution and reporting, Cooperation with Development and Data Management Teams) • Implementation and maintenance of new and existing data feed connections • Communication and cooperation with international customers and data providers Position Requirements • IT Degree (DUT or Master in Engineering) • Previous experience in a similar position preferably in the financial software industry (support and network administration) • Good and practical knowledge of Windows Operating Systems (XP, 7, Windows 2003/2008 Server) and network administration (LAN, WAN, network protocols, etc.) • General knowledge in information technology Skills: • Strong communication skills and team spirit • Fluent technical English & fluent French mandatory • German is a plus Competencies: • High level of flexibility and positive attitude • Strong problem-solving capacity • Autonomous, pro-active and self-motivated • Service-oriented • At ease with handling multiple tasks in parallel SunGard’s Brokerage business is a leading provider of global execution, network, market data and trading software solutions that help institutions improve execution quality, increase market transparency, decrease overall costs and address today’s data and connectivity challenges.
