We deliver this must-have insight to the financial and risk, legal, tax and accounting, intellectual property and science and media markets, powered by the world's most trusted news organization.This Senior Quality Assurance Engineer (SQAE) will be primarily working on Wealth Tools projects, including the PropGen and/or MRT projects. The SQAE will be involved in creating and executing test plans and working interactively with Product Development and Product Management to improve the quality of the products.Responsibilities:
- Develop test plans and test cases covering both UI and backend functionality.
- Execute Test cases in accordance with the schedule identified in the Project Plan
- Identify, assess, and report defects via the defect tracking system
- Collaborate with development and product management teams or Scrum team to assess and manage project risk
- Collaborate with development and application support teams to create deployment plans
- Develop and distribute regular status reports and test metrics as appropriate
- Provide timely & accurate updates to QA manager/lead and project team
- Handle and support dynamic schedule, multiple environments, test cycles and deployments

Qualifications

The ideal candidate will have a solid grasp of the product life cycle from initial marketing requirements through development, testing, and deployment. The ideal candidate will also be able to effectively participate in cross-functional meetings, clearly articulate project risk and provide concise recommendations to Development and Product Management. Agile/Scrum experience is a strong plus. Experience in Load/Performance testing and/or QTP automation is strongly preferred. Ideal candidates will have 3-5 years of experience in a similar role, financial services a plus.
- Experience with Wealth management tool testing is preferred.
- Experience with Quality Center is a preferred.
- Experience with Agile/Scrum is a plus.
- Experience with HP's Performance Center and/or QTP is strong plus.
- Experience in all aspects of software testing, from requirement analysis to functional test design to execution to reporting is a must.
