Job Description :

FactSet Research Systems is a major supplier of online integrated financial and economic information for analysts, portfolio managers, investment bankers and other financial professionals. FactSet combines more than 200 databases into a single online information system that is a comprehensive, one-stop source of financial information and analytics.

Content Integration Engineering (CIE) is the largest group within FactSet Software Engineering and is the gateway through which financial content is integrated into the system. We develop, operate and support a variety of technologies and services that expose data to the FactSet application stack.

Content Services Infrastructure is a new group with CIE that has been tasked with the job of developing and evangelizing shared standards, libraries, tools and best practices for web data services built on MS SQL Server and the .Net stack. In addition the members of the team will provide consulting services to other CIE development teams on their current and future use of both SQL Server (data modeling, query tuning & ETL process design) and web data services.


We are looking for a talented engineer to join the team who will bring deep industry experience on relevant technologies.
Job Requirements :

- BS/MS in Computer Science or equivalent experience
- Detailed knowledge of Microsoft SQL Server administration, profiling and query optimization
- Strong knowledge of HTTP Service architectures
- Strong knowledge of C# and the .Net stack

Desired Skills:

- Knowledge of Microsoft SQL Server internals
- Knowledge of Git development patterns
- Experience with GitLab
- Comprehensive understanding of software engineering principles
- Ability to easily adapt to different codebases, project areas and technologies
- Proven record of successful project completion
- Strong communication skills
- Self-motivated and proactive
