Job Description :

The Technology Solutions Engineering Team is responsible for client-facing support and engineering with regards to the installation, upgrade and deployment of FactSet software. Technology Solutions engineers are systems engineers who communicate directly with clients as well as FactSet consultants, salespeople and software engineers. With the rapid evolution of FactSet software and ever-changing client security, network, server, laptop and desktop environments, the Technology Solutions Engineering Team is instrumental in researching, engineering and deploying technical solutions to our client base.

Responsibilities

 

• Assist FactSet clients to package and deploy FactSet within their environments, including potentially complex environments such as - Citrix XenApp or XenDesktop, Virtual streaming technologies such as Microsoft App-V, ThinApp, etc
• Taking a primary role in developing and maintaining detailed technical documentation
• Supporting other members of the team with complex technical and customer management issues
• Proactively identify clients that require attention by utilising and developing internal databases and reports
• Actively work with software engineers to develop FactSet to ensure that Engineering solutions are found for regularly reported support issues and appropriate client feedback is integrated into FactSet
• Become primary contact for key clients, completing site visits when appropriate
• Proactively suggest product enhancements and work with software engineering and QA to ensure successful implementation

 

Job Requirements :

 

• In depth knowledge of Microsoft Windows XP, Vista, 7, 8, Server 2003, Server 2008 and Server 2012
• In depth knowledge of Microsoft Office
• Familiarity with virtualisation platforms (VMware, Citrix, App-V), the Windows Installer, Financial/Market Data platforms
• Ability to work both independently and in groups and set goals based on shifting priorities
• Strong analytical and problem solving skills in addition to excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Foreign language skills would be a bonus (French, Spanish, German, Italian).
