Job Description :
The Content Collection Services team specializes in the development and maintenance of financial data research applications used by internal research analysts globally for the collection
of our proprietary content. It is composed of highly talented and
motivated individuals, primarily selected from top-tier technical
programs around the world.
FactSet is
looking for a talented and motivated engineer to specialize in desktop
application development. The engineer will be responsible for
developing and maintaining our financial data research applications used
by financial analysts onsite and abroad. It will include working with
stakeholders from different regions to design, and develop new and
existing applications using .net and SQL server as backend, reporting to
Team leads and managers offshore/onshore and supporting legacy
applications/batch processes.
Job Requirements :
Background Requirements
· BS or MS in Computer Science, Systems Engineering, or equivalent
· Experience with rich desktop application design and development
· Experience building business-critical information systems
· Experience with, and managing, a large code base
· Experience in dealing with different culture
· Ability to learn new technologies quickly
Technical Skill Requirements
- Strong working knowledge in object oriented programming
- Microsoft .NET Framework 2.0 – 3.5 and 4.0 is a plus
- Microsoft SQL Server 2000-2008
- Foxpro knowledge is a plus
