Job Description :
This engineer will support the GitLab and Jenkins services, as well as undertaking a number of projects to further productionize these services as they become even more critical to the infrastructure of FactSet development. Initial projects for this position will include transitioning javabuild.factset.com/jenkins to jenkins.factset.com, and enhancing GitLab with more workflows to mirror capabilities previously developed for other SCMs. Long term goals include ongoing upgrades for both sites to match upstream and deprecating the RhodeCode installation, including transitioning existing users to GitLab.
Job Requirements :
+ BS or MS in Computer Science or equivalent
+ Strong Ruby development skills
+ Knowledge of Git architecture
+ Understanding of software development lifecycle and continuous integration procedures
Desired Skills:
+ Strong knowledge of HTTP Services architectures, with the ability to create and utilize services to accomplish objectives and employ REST standards to provide reusable and reliable interfaces
+ Knowledge of Git development patterns, including the use of GitHub and GitLab in a distributed development environment
+ User/Admin experience with Jenkins Continuous Integration system
+ Java development experience, for expansion and maintenance of Jenkins-CI
+ Experience with Ruby on Rails web development platform
