Job Description :
The Quality Assurance Department at FactSet is responsible for
monitoring and testing the quality, consistency, and reliability of
FactSet’s windows and web-based applications. The QA automation team
goal is to make UI/Functionality test automation flexible,
comprehensive, easy, and available to all of QA and the associated apps
being tested. In doing so, appropriate manual UI/Functionality testing
will transition to automated methods. The members of the QA Automation
team will collaborate with members of development teams consisting of
product managers, software developers and QA staff. Interaction with
other members of the development team is a large component of the job.

Job Responsibilities:
+ Take responsibility for integration of Web pages and database within the automation framework.
+ Take initiative on tool and automation framework (test harness) design and development and maintenance.
+ Monitor, manage, maintain and report problems and bugs within the framework applications.
+ Empower automation scripters to use our software testing automation framework.
+ Design,
implementation and documentation of QA automation applications ensuring
complete functional test coverage for FactSet applications.
+ Ensure
that all domain knowledge are articulated and structured well to enable
swift execution by any other member of the QA team.
+ Collaborate with the engineering team to manage frameworks as technologies evolve
Job Requirements:
+ Bachelor’s
degree or higher in a technical field or equivalent work experience
(computer science, engineering, information systems)
+ Proficient scripting skills like JavaScript and Ruby and ability to quickly learn scripting languages
+ Experience in languages like XML, Python, PHP or Perl
+ Programming experience in higher level languages like C++, Java or C#.
+ Database experience with MySQL or SQLServer
+ Ability to design, plan, build and execute test processes based on loosely defined business requirements.
+ Ability to adapt to changing priorities and effectively alter goals.
+ Ability to learn and absorb technologies and adapts to changing priorities and effectively alter goals.
+ Ability to analyze test plans and test cases
+ Strong interpersonal, communication and documentation skills.
+ Excellent communication skills (written and oral in English).
+ Very strong organizational skills and attentiveness to detail.
+ Experience with Windows, Linux operating systems.
Highly Desired:
+ Experience with various automation testing tools such as QTP (Quick Test Pro), Test Complete, Rational, IBM or related tools.
+ Experience in Quality Assurance
+ Experience in designing and implementing Software Test Automation Frameworks is a plus.
+ Experience designing test cases for Performance measurements is a plus.
+ HTML, Web Servers and GUI development.
