Senior Network Capacity and Planning Engineer
Our Global Network Engineering and Operations team is looking for an experienced network capacity and planning engineer that will be part of a team to support the company's production network supporting LinkedIn.com. The role will require both hands-on technical activities as well as contributing to future vision and development of LinkedIn's global network. This position is for Sunnyvale campus.

The role will require both hands-on technical activities as well as contributing to future vision and development of LinkedIn's global network. This position is for Sunnyvale campus.
Responsibilities include:
- Create and enhance models that characterize architecture guidelines to affect network capacity decisions.
- Build and manage modeling outputs for data driven decision-making.
- Conduct bottle-neck analysis and investigate the impact of network changes
- Create simulations in a lab to push the envelope on capacity and influence network design changes.
- Build cost models.
- Investigate and implement tooling for capacity planning.
Qualifications:
- Masters degree in Computer Science or Mathematics.
- Experience working on network planning and capacity problems at scale for large content networks.
- Experience in forecasting, simulations, performance metrics and operational research.
- Experience with MPLS backbone and data centers at scale.
- Data driven and passionate about numbers.
