Sr. Oracle Business Systems Analyst, Business Applications

Location: LinkedIn - Sunnyvale, CA

Job Function

LinkedIn is looking for Sr. Business Systems Analysts (BSA) who is a subject matter expert in Record-to-Report and Procure-to-Pay applications. The Sr. BSA responsible for both supporting existing functionality and implementing new features and must be techno-functional to be able to drive projects and assignments to their successful completion. The Sr. BSA will be a member of the Business Applications team which is responsible for supporting financial systems and also translating business requirements into solutions, preparing design specifications, troubleshooting and documenting software applications of varying complexity following the predefined standards and best practices.

Responsibilities:

Process Enablement & Optimization
  • Conduct requirement gathering, review and design flows for projects with focus on process improvement
  • Develops medium size project plans including effort estimation.
  • Designs process flow diagrams within project context.
  • Implements best in class systems by drawing on business process and application experience.
  • Responsible for delivering Projects and Enhancements for the following E-Business Suite R12 modules: General Ledger, Fixed Assets, Global Intercompany, Cash Management, Accounts Receivables, Accounts Payables, Purchasing, EB Tax, Approvals Management, Oracle Time and Labor and Oracle Self-service applications

Support & Compliance
  • Support business users and help to troubleshoot simple to complex application issues and develop creative solutions to support business needs.
  • Provide tier 2 support, including escalations for aged, unresolved tier 1 issues
  • Ensures SOX and compliance standards are met in all work performed.
  • Ensures that SLA’s standards are met in all work performed.
  • Monitor effectiveness of systems, policies and procedures and make appropriate recommendations to ensure daily operations are efficient.
  • Support the month/year end close processes and maintenance of Oracle ERP Systems to ensure smooth operations.
  • Coach’s junior staff on tier 1 issue support.
  • Support and test interfaces and integrations (both inbound and outbound) to facilitate information flow between Oracle Financials and external systems.
  • Assist with major patch releases and code changes to the production environment including the regression tests and user acceptance testing (UAT).
  • Develop test strategy and author test plans as required for application releases, enhancements and patches
Customer Focus & Partnering
  • Collaborates with customers to solve medium to complex issues and proposes solutions.
  • Effectively articulates moderately complex ideas and concepts through clear and concise verbal and/or written communication.
  • Work as team to ensure consistent message is communicated to customer in all aspects of job.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or Information Technology is required.
  • 7+ years of experience in implementation, development, process re-engineering and support of Oracle EBS suite mainly in Record To Report (R2R) and Procure To Pay (P2P) tracks.
  • Proficient at multitasking and prioritization of projects and support.
  • Demonstrated successful working relationships with IT and Business Partners.
  • Exceptional customer service orientation and collaboration skills.
  • Successful track record in delivering Business System solutions on time and on budget.
  • Must have strong understanding of SOX controls, compliance and change management for business systems.
  • Excellent analytical, problem solving, and troubleshooting skills to manage complex process and technology issues.
  • Strong knowledge of Oracle table structures, API's, Schemas, Oracle open interfaces.
  • Experience with definition and functional design of conversions and interfaces.
  • Proficiency with tools used to support Oracle Application development including PL/SQL, SQL*Plus, Forms, Reports, Workflow, Discoverer is preferred.
  • Knowledge of Oracle OBIEE experience is a plus.
