What You'll Do

You’ll work on one of the largest and most demanding Perforce Helix Core deployments in the industry, supporting thousands of users and millions of files at scale. You’ll tackle complex engineering challenges that come with operating source control at this level, while partnering closely with teams across Epic Games and with external studios and partners around the world. As one of Perforce’s largest customers, Epic collaborates directly with the Perforce engineering team, giving you a unique opportunity to influence their product roadmap and help shape the future of source control tooling used across the industry.


In this role, you will

Architect and administer large, high performance Perforce Helix, and other SCM tools at a global scale with thousands of consumers worldwide

Perform deep troubleshooting of Perforce Helix server performance and database contention issues

Implement and maintain automation tools, user facing tools, documentation, and workflows to assist with system management

Manage and support permissions and identity integrations

Assist in disaster recovery and business continuity initiatives to ensure a protected and highly available implementation

Devise, test, and deploy integrations between Perforce products and other internal systems

Promoting adoption and best practices among the system user community and conducting user-training and help-sessions for new features or implementations

What we're looking for

Experience deploying and maintaining environments with infrastructure as code approaches and tools (SCM/Git, Packer, Terraform, Ansible, Chef, or Salt, and leveraging CI/CD systems to get work done)

Experience with cloud providers like AWS, Azure, GCP (Google Cloud Platform)

Understanding of Linux operating systems, OS performance tuning, troubleshooting, patching and patch management best practices

Expertise writing tools, scripting and automation in Bash/UNIX shell, Python

Excellent communicator with the ability to convey complex ideas clearly and collaborate effectively across teams

Strong learning skills, able to quickly absorb new concepts, tools, and processes in a fast-paced environment

Experience with Perforce Helix, Git and their related server and client components in a large scale, and understanding of version control workflows is a big plus

Experience with other version control systems such as Git, and related code collaboration tools such as GitHub, and GitLab would be a plus

Highly organized, with the ability to manage priorities, track details, and deliver work reliably on time would be a plus

In this role, you will:


Architect and develop core features for our Android apps, delivering reliable and scalable solutions

Minimum Qualifications:

Strong proficiency in Jetpack, Jetpack Compose, Kotlin, Kotlin Coroutines, Flow, and Android Studio.


Proven experience with architectural patterns such as MVVM and a track record of building maintainable, modular code at scale.


Effective communicator who can articulate technical concepts clearly across teams.

This Senior Android Engineer is part of the VR Mobile team which is responsible for the native VRBO iOS and Android apps for partners and their engineering ecosystem. Work breakdown: 50% new product features, 30% monitoring/bug fixes/security, 20% tech capabilities and platform consolidation. As the Senior Android Engineer, you'll lead architecture decisions, provide guidance and mentorship, and write clean, idiomatic Kotlin code.


In this role, you will:


Design, develop, and test Android applications and supporting components to meet functional and non-functional requirements, including performance, accessibility, and localization.


Lead the technical design and delivery of complex, multi-quarter projects from concept to completion.


Develop, test, and maintain high-quality, scalable mobile software applications and services.


Guide and mentor other engineers, fostering their technical growth and professional development through code reviews, pairing, and coaching.


Promote mobile development best practices within the organization, focusing on user experience, operational excellence, and platform-centric features.


Advocate for and implement operational excellence by improving code quality, establishing SLAs, and programming for resiliency and scalability.

Minimum Qualifications:

Experienced Android Developer with experience leading the end-to-end technical design and execution of multiple long-term, multi-quarter projects.


Strong proficiency in Kotlin or equivalent programming language such as Java


Advanced proficiency with Jetpack components/Jetpack Compose, Android UI/UX best practices, and performance optimization


Solid understanding of Android app architecture patterns (e.g., MVVM, MVI, MVP)

  • Deliver and follow through – launch your ideas which means working from kickoff through development and getting sign-off along the way (e.g. final wires and flows, specs, use cases, error states) and doing post launch analysis.
Requirements
  • Serious passion for user-centered design
  • Examples of highly detailed wireframes and designs
  • Examples of easily digestible story-based solutions
  • Examples of both data-driven decision making and instinct based decision making
  • Experience and examples creating websites, software applications, interactive spaces, games, and / or mobile applications
  • Experience conducting in-context observations and interviews
  • Knows the difference between a project goal and a requirement
  • Plays nice with others - graphic designers, developers, producers, executives, and the lunch lady
  • Both a conceptual thinker and a detailed designer
  • Can prototype your ideas – whether high or low fidelity using the Adobe Suite, HTML, and / or Axure
  • Easily adapts and learns new things whether it’s a new prototyping tool, design process, or game
  • A minimum of 4 years’ experience as a UX designer, information architect, visual designer, interaction designer, or similar
  • A minimum of 10 years’ experience if interested in a more senior role
  • Understands that not everything you do will be a conceptual project
  • Laid back, but can unleash the fire in your belly to get things done
  • Loves puppies
