Qualifications

Minimum Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related technical field.
- 7+ years Software Development/Engineering experience.
- Expert with ASP.NET MVC and Razor
- Strong Oracle development experience
- Strong JQuery, AJAX, JSON web development experience
- 5+ years of experience in application development in C# and .NET framework.
- 5+ years of experience with Object Oriented Programming (OOP) techniques.
- 2+ years of experience with NHibernate Object Relation Mapping (ORM) tool.
- Strong skills in the areas of unit testing, performance analysis and debugging.
- Knowledge of Design Patterns, Agile software development methodologies, Extreme Programming including Pair Programming.

The engineer will be expected to be a pro-active and independent member of a team mandated with enhancing and maintaining existing products and developing new tools and frameworks.

Job Responsibilities

Design and development from the outset with total project lifecycle including stakeholder interaction and specification collaboration once comfortable in the business space. After a certain amount of familiarisation with the team’s products, the engineer is expected to be part of a maintenance and on-duty rota. This is because we provide tools for automation that often run out of hours.
  • Enhance, maintain, and support existing operational tools as well as expand their user base and core functionality.
+ Scalability and usability challenges from large numbers of new users and high level operations mandate.
+ Flexibility of functionality versus ease of use challenges to support the multiple diverse user groups.
  • Be involved in the design and specification of new products and tools with relevant business stakeholders.
  • Ensure the quality of both existing and new products using automated unit, integration, and user interface testing, in addition to manual testing which is also required.

Technology Areas
  • Development in C# and .NET Framework
  • Development using Microsoft server side technologies like ASP.NET MVC, ASP.NET Web Forms, and WCF.
  • Microsoft SQL Server and data access technologies such as Entity Framework and LINQ
  • JavaScript and other client-side technologies like jQuery, jQuery UI, AngularJS, and many others.

Job Requirements :
 
  • BSc or MSc in Computer Science or equivalent
  • Experience of developing large web applications/services using C# and .NET Framework
  • Experience in SQL Server or equivalent relational database system.
  • Experience with service-based architecture
  • Interest in UI design
