Daily job duties include, but are not limited to:
performing technical analysis, and to apply business and technical specifications to affect application change while adhering to standards and guidelines throughout the software development lifecycle. Developer must be able to successfully analyze, code, unit and regression test a variety of application programs in both an Online (CICS) and Batch (MVS) environment. Ability to document process changes.
ANALYSIS - Programmer will be exposed to both Functional and Technical specifications and be able to code in current BETA programming standards.
CODING - utilize COBOL, DB2 and CICS in the current BETA environment.
TESTING - will learn to use current BETA tools including Platinum and Debug to verify project results.
DOCUMENTING - able to document programs and processes using current BETA tools including MS-Word, MS-Excel, etc.
COMMUNICATION - able to provide status and project updates to Team Leader, Manager and PMO.
SUPPORT - resolve abends and issues as needed on various applications.
Qualifications
Qualifications:
- Minimum 5 to 6 years mainframe experience using COBOL.
- Ability to lead other developers and staff on projects.
- Proficient in DB2, CICS, and Job Control Language are desired skills for this candidate.
- Strong analytical and technical skills along with solid communication skills, both written and verbal, are required.
- Ability to work within a structured project plan and complete tasks on time.
- Experience with TSO, Changeman, IBM dBug, Platinum, VISIO a plus.

- 3+ years of professional experience designing, developing, deploying, and supporting products in an enterprise or SaaS environment
- Experience with full life cycle development: requirements gathering, analysis, design, coding, unit testing, and acceptance testing
- Strong working knowledge with Object-Oriented Analysis, Design, and Implementation
- Hibernate and Spring experience desired
- Maven, CXF, SOA, Web services, SOAP, XML/HTTP, Servlets, REST, and HTML are highly desired
- Experience in UI frameworks and technologies (e.g. Angular, Ajax, CSS, JavaScript, Google Web Toolkit, etc.)
- Java and J2EE development and analysis experience including SQL coding
- 3+ years of experience with Oracle, SQLServer, or DB2 databases

The IFS New Business Systems team and the IFS Producer
Sales/Customer Applications team (both in Information Services
Operation) are seeking multiple individuals to provide development and
support for IFS applications and systems. These positions will assist
with determining specifications based on business, while adhering to
current application development processes. The new team members will
also assist in solving application system problems with assistance as
needed from application and technical staff.
Essential Functions:
- Assists in solving application system problems with assistance as needed from application and technical personnel.
- Responsible for the development, maintenance and integration of applications and systems that support IFS operations.
- Responsible for having the knowledge of the tools and languages used to develop, maintain and execute systems.
- Responsible for understanding and leveraging approaches for designing, developing, testing, debugging applications and assisting with issues.
- Responsible for understanding the business, business objectives and current business challenges within the supported business area.
- Responsible for acting as an internal consultant, and mentor to more junior staff. Provides task-level leadership, guidance, and direction.
- Responsible for complying with all Company Information Services policies and standards.
- Responsible for ensuring appropriate security and privacy measures are implemented on technology solutions to protect Company data from intentional or accidental misuse.

Qualifications
Basic/Required Qualifications:

Minimum of two years of work experience in systems analysis and design

Bachelors Degree in Computer Science, MIS, or a related field of study (or equivalent work experience - 4 years in systems analysis and design)
- Two years of work experience in Java/J2EE and in Web Services
- Strong communication and problem solving skills.
- Effective presentation, verbal and written communications skills.
- Ability to communicate technical concepts to technical and non-technical audiences.
- Ability to multi-task and adapt to changes in assignments.
- Ability to adapt quickly to new technology and business requirements.
- Strong analytical skills and sound decision-making abilities.
- Strong customer relations skills (with all levels of internal and external customers).
- Awareness of different technologies and technology domains (such as Mainframe, Client Server, Web, Portal, or Cloud).
Preferred Qualifications:
- Work experience with some of the following: Portal, Hibernate, WAS/RAD, WID, WMB, UDB DB2, C++, GWT, or Grails
- Work experience with Infomatica
